Each MarsCat is a unique cat through its eyes, body, and personality that change according to the way you deal with it, each cat contains 6 different characters that can be changed, and Elephant Robotics strives to implement many of the cat-like behaviors in MarsCat.
The cat comes with a 5-megapixel camera in its nose, which allows it to see everything that surrounds it, in addition to a built-in microphone for voice recognition and a loudspeaker that allows it to play sounds, while its sixteen engines operate it, allowing it to move, while giving it OLED eyes Vibrant look.
The distance sensor allows detection of objects, while six capacitive touch sensors allow the cat to use its paws, as well as touch and interact with you and any surrounding objects.
The company stated that users will get about two to three hours of battery life when the cat makes continuous interactions, while battery life can be saved by leaving MarsCat alone, which makes the battery last for up to five hours.
Elephant Robotics says: Your interactions with MarsCat will shape her personality, so that if you talk to her often, the robotic cat will get more responsive more often, and the company also announced that MarsCat can recognize about 20 different keywords.
Joey Song, CEO of Elephant Robotics, stated that a cat can easily identify different commands for the same purpose, which different people may use to express themselves, and if you want to change their behaviors yourself, you can program MarsCat actions using the Raspberry Pi platform .
The robot cat is powered by Raspberry Pi 3 and has been designed using an open source platform, enabling users with sufficient programming knowledge to easily program their MarsCat, meaning that users can program new behaviors of the cat, providing endless possibilities.
