CES 2020: Samsung To Reveal An Invisible Keyboard That Makes Use Of Selfie Camera And AI To Type

Samsung develops an invisible keyboard for your phone
Samsung, during its participation in the CES 2020 Consumer Electronics Show in the US city of Las Vegas, intends to display a virtual keyboard that allows users to type by simply clicking on any surface in front of them.
And with the increasing need of users to phones to get their work done, the question of writing long messages on the phone keyboards remains slower compared to the regular keyboards, so the new solution comes from Samsung to solve this problem.

The keyboard, which the Korean company calls SelfieType, uses artificial intelligence technology and the front-facing camera to track the user's hands while typing on an invisible keyboard in front of the phone.

The SelfieType virtual keyboard was developed by Samsung's C-Lab, an in-company business incubator as new technologies are developed that may later turn into products launched by Samsung.

Samsung has published a video explaining how the feature works, noting that the technologies that convert any surface to a virtual keyboard are not new, but SelfieType has the advantage of others that it does not drop or display any image of keys on the surface.
