5 tips that get the most out of your AirPods Pro

AirPods have recently become one of the most popular and demanding models of wireless headphones, as estimates have indicated that Apple sold up to 3 million units of its AirPods Pro and AirPods wireless headphones during the previous sale cuts between Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Said by analyst Dan Ives.
Dan also indicated that by the end of 2019, Apple will have sold at least 50 million units of AirPods, making it the undisputed leader in a market now crowded with premium wireless earphones.
AirPods Pro and AirPods have changed the wireless headphones market with their revolutionary design and ease of use, but how can you make the most of them whether with iPhones or Android phones?

1- Pair it with Android phones:

AirPods are designed to work primarily with Apple devices, but this does not mean that you will not be able to use them with Android phones, as these headphones depend on Bluetooth connectivity, so you can also pair them easily with any other device, whether it is an Android device or any other device that supports Bluetooth connectivity. .

You can easily pair AirPods Pro headphones with Android phones by following these steps:

Make sure that Bluetooth is turned on on your phone.
Place the speakers in their case, open the cap, then press and hold the small button on the back of the box until a small white light appears.
Find AirPods Pro in the available devices in the bluetooth menu on your phone, then tap to pair it to the device.
When paired with an Android phone, AirPods Pro headphones will still support the Active Noise Canceling (ANC) feature that you can enable by pressing and holding the sensor on the stick of one of the AirPods Pro earphones until you hear a ring.

2- Stop or enable the noise cancellation feature quickly:

AirPods Pro headphones feature three noise control modes: (Active Noise Canceling), Pattern (Sound Transparency), and Power Off. You can switch between them depending on how much of the surrounding sounds you want to hear.

By activating the (Noise Canceling) feature, the in-ear microphone detects external sounds, which AirPods Pro encounters with anti-noise waves, which eliminates external sounds before they are heard.

While (Transparency Voice) mode allows the entry of external sound, so you can hear what's going on around you. The 'Noise Cancellation' and 'Voice Transparency' style work best when you choose the AirPods Pro size that best fits your ear.

You can switch between noise control modes directly from the AirPods Pro headphones, or through an iPhone, iPad, or Apple smart watch.

You can activate the active noise cancellation feature with the same speakers; when wearing both headphones, press and hold the pressure sensor on one of the AirPods until you hear a ring.

You can also switch between noise control modes in Settings:

  • Go to (Settings) on iPhone or iPad.
  • Click the (Bluetooth) option.
  • Find your AirPods in the list of connected devices, then tap the "i" icon next to them.
  • Press Noise Cancellation, Transparency, or Off.

3- Check the appropriate size of the leather piece:

AirPods Pro headphones come with the option to choose from a range of small, medium and large silicone leather pieces. When using the size of the leather piece best suited to you, you will get the best sound quality with full noise cancellation.

If you are not sure that you are using the leather pieces that fit your ears, you can use (Fit Test) to choose a comfortable, fit size that fills the spaces well, by following these steps:
  • With AirPods Pro in your ears, go to Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
  • Click the (Bluetooth) option.
  •  Click the “i” icon next to your AirPods in the list of connected devices.
  • Click the "Ear Tip Fit Test" option.
  • Click the (Continue) option, then press the (Play) button, you will hear a short clip and AirPods Pro will use this sound to determine if the leather part that is right for you.

If the test suggests tuning or trying a different piece of leather, try tuning the AirPods Pro and take the test again. Then try a different size. You may need different sizes for your left and right ears.

4- Use one earphone to extend battery life:

PAirPods Pro‌ headphones feature excellent stereo audio output and are designed by Apple so that you can use only one speaker without affecting the sound quality, and it helps you to extend battery life. All you have to do is put one headphone in your ear and leave the other in the charging case, the H1 chip will automatically detect which one is in use, and the sound will emit.

When you hear the low battery tone in the earpiece in your ear, you can switch it with the other, and you can also continue to switch like this as long as the charging case has a charge.

5- Listen to messages with Siri:

When you use AirPods (2nd generation) or AirPods Pro Siri voice assistant can then read your incoming messages. Then you can answer them without using hands.

But this feature requires pairing the headphones with iPhones running iOS 13.2 or later, or iPads running iPadOS 13.2 or later. To activate this feature, you can follow the following steps:

  • Go to (Settings) on your device.
  • Click Notifications.
  • Click "Announce Messages with Siri". Then press the play button.

When this feature is turned on, Siri can read incoming messages aloud when the headset is connected to an iPhone or iPad while wearing it while the device is locked, where Siri will play a tone, then pronounce the sender's name and read the message. If the message is long, it will pronounce the sender’s name and only tell you that he has sent you a message, and here you can ask her to read the entire message, or you can open the device to read it.
