Why are 30 million Americans nonetheless the use of 3G networks?

A recent study by Opensignal confirms that up to 30 million Americans still use 3G networks, something which, while it sounds like a lie, is important enough.
The study, conducted from July 1, September 28, confirmed that these thirty million people use only 3G networks for three reasons. 83% of these users are simply because they don't have a contracted 4G data plan, 13% can't access 4G connections and the rest are simply because they don't have a phone that supports 4G.

What may seem like a funny story in the beginning is more dangerous than it appears. Operators need wide range of 5G deployment. The idea is to remove 3G bands to change them to 4G networks and then to the fifth generation network, but with 30 million people using 3G, the task is not simple.
So phone companies must convince their users that 3G is an outdated technology and that it is necessary that they update their data plans. Operators like Verizon intend to withdraw all their 3G networks by the end of 2020 while AT&T expects all to end before February 2022. The only certainty is that it will not be easy, because leaving 30 million people in offline mode is not the decision that can be made.
