YouTube will allow violent games to be uploaded to its platform
YouTube on Monday rolled out its new policy that allows game-focused creators to upload videos of simulated violence without worrying that content will automatically conflict with the age restriction policy.
YouTube applies a similar policy to other forms of entertainment with previously written text, such as television and movies. This policy will allow the publishing of game videos, which contain previously mentioned violence, or emulated, so that they are available to everyone, not those over the age of 18.
"There will be fewer restrictions on violence in gaming," YouTube said on the product update page, but at the same time stressed that it would retain its standards of protecting the public from real violence.
The new policy does not apply to advertising guidelines. If a video contains unacceptable scenes of violence, but is allowed to post in accordance with the new YouTube policy, it may still be at risk of being deprived of material gain. But Susan and Jessky, YouTube's chief executive, know this will be a problem for many creators with no revenue but YouTube. About promoting a movie that is classified as Restricted.
