The images show a typical laptop - carried by someone wearing the Levi’s branded Jacquard by Google - with a top cover with similar finishes to some pixel finishes and a bizarre underside with a deeper color.
The keyboard is similar to the previous Pixelbook, while the front speakers seem to be capable of producing high-quality audio.
There are USB-C ports on each side with a LED light for charging, and a 3.5mm headphone port on the left, and the design seems not far from the designs of Apple laptops.
Here's a whole bunch of specifications that Pixelbook Go devices may contain, depending on how they are configured:
- Intel Core m3, Intel Core i5, Intel Core i 7.
- Either 8 or 16 GB of RAM.
- 64GB, 128GB or 256GB storage
- Front speakers
- 2MP front camera with 1080p resolution at 60fps.
- Titan C. Security Chip
- Normal Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
- 13.3-inch touch screen with 16: 9 aspect ratio in Full HD or 4K.
- Two USB-C ports (each with LED companion light).
- 3.5 mm headphone port.
- Two color options: Just Black and Not Pink.
- There are some things missing, such as a fingerprint reader and Pixelbook support.
Previous Google Pixelbooks have not been very popular in the past, and Pixelbook Go is likely to follow the same path, but it is good that Google sticks to Chromebooks through its own set of devices despite poor sales.
The Pixelbook Go is not expected to be the only device that Google will announce at its event on October 15 in New York City, as it is expected to announce the new Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL, along with the second generation Smart Nest (Nest Mini) and the new Nest Wifi speaker.
