Google is not alien to the legal problems that arise from the violation of the privacy of its users, but now New Mexico's public defender, Hector Palderas, is determined to bring the company to court to prove that it was violated and spied on the children of his state.
Balderas filed a lawsuit against Google in the local court in New Mexico, on the grounds that the company had deceived teachers and parents and that it contravened its own principle of protecting children's privacy, because it spied on them and collected their data through Google Education and Chromebooks.

According to the lawsuit, “Google has used Google Education to spy on children and families in New Mexico and collect personal information that includes the physical site, the websites they visit, every search term they use, their YouTube videos, their contact lists, sound recordings and words Traffic and other behavioral information, "
As a context, Google Education is a service to the giant Google company that provides customizable versions of G Suite, so educational institutions have free and secure tools for learning sessions.
G Suite for Education can be installed on Chromebooks, and this is where Balderas argues that with these mobile devices, Google has collected personal data and digital life for more than 25 million children who will eventually become future kindergarten-trained future customers.
The attorney general emphasized that Google's practices are illegal and dangerous, and said he was not afraid of any company endangering
child safety in New Mexico in court.
