YouTube launched its YouTube TV service application for PlayStation 4, as the first direct third-party TV subscription service available on Sony's gaming platform.
Since the launch of the PlayStation Vue service, Sony has been keen to keep competing applications, such as: Sling TV, YouTube TV and Hulu away from the PlayStation 4 platform.
However, the Playstation View service is scheduled to be closed by the end of this month, so it seems that Sony will start opening the way for the launch of other options on its platform. Last October, the company said: “Unfortunately, the highly competitive pay TV industry, exorbitant content and network deals were slower to change than we expected.” She added, "For this reason, we have decided to continue focusing on our core business in the field of games."
Now you can download the YouTube TV app from the PlayStation Store. New customers can get a free trial of the service, monthly for $ 50.
