Apple has decided to withdraw all e-cigarette applications for its potential health risks from the App Store. More than 180 apps related to e-cigarettes could be found.

The company reported this through a statement sent to Axios, which ensures that the procedure occurs after at least 42 people have died from lung diseases associated with e-cigarettes.
According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This institution still does not know the exact cause of these deaths, but suggests that it could be due to vitamin E, an ingredient found in some products, especially those that include tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), found in marijuana.
"We are working hard to make App Store a trusted place for users to download applications, especially for young people," Apple says in a statement.
"Recently, experts from the Center for Disease Control and the American Heart Association have attributed that e-cigarettes have resulted in lung injuries and deaths, and even described the proliferation of these devices as a public health crisis and a youth epidemic," said Apple. To remove apps that encourage or facilitate the use of these products are not allowed. As of today, these apps are no longer available for download. "
Although Apple never allowed the sale of e-cigarette cartridges directly from applications, it had applications in its store that allowed to control the temperature and lighting of evaporators or other devices that provide industry-related news.
