WhatsApp is suing an Israeli company that spies on you

Facebook has sued NSO Group, an Israeli technology company, for infecting thousands of devices with spyware to spy on users.

You may remember that in May, a bug was reported in WhatsApp that allowed spyware to reach mobile devices for its users. Dynamic can be activated when the user makes a voice call.
This gave the opportunity to a group of hackers to install known spyware in users' computers. Although they were not sure at the time where the attack came from, there was a major suspect: NSO Group, a spyware developer.

WhatsApp directly pointed the finger at the NSO Group, but this company denied any involvement. Of course, this investigation, which has now led to WhatsApp's criminal case against the company, was initiated in a US court.

As Will Cathcart, the current president of WhatsApp in the Washington Post, said they already have accurate indications that the NSO Group was responsible for the cyberattack.
