China's Realme is witnessing an impressive growth wave: according to data from Counterpoint Research, the company managed to sell 10 million phones in the last quarter, an increase of 808% over the same period last year.

The company's growth in such a short time is impressive due to competition in the smartphone sector making life difficult for new brands. Realme's strategy to cross this barrier was to invest in cost-effective solutions in developing countries such as India.
India and Indonesia the secret to the company's rapid growth
According to Counterpoint Research, the figures achieved by the company would not be possible without the company's focus on India and Indonesia. Both markets accounted for 80% of Realme sales during the quarter, succeeding in both countries.

Smartphone sales in Indian market
In India, Realme achieved a 3% market share last year and now controls 16% of sales in the country. If the company continues at this rate, manufacturers like Xiaomi and Samsung will continue to lose power in this important market.
