Google announces new USB-C Titan Security Key

Phishing is one of the most common threats to all Internet users these days and is defined as a method by which an attacker tries to trick you into giving them your credentials. Although Internet services, especially those from Google, provide ways to protect you from this type of cyber fraud, it is always recommended to use the mechanism of two-step protection.
Two-step security mechanisms include: security codes that reach your phone via SMS, as well as specialized apps like Google Authenticator. The best of these mechanisms are the two-step protection switches that can be connected to the phone or computer via the USB port or via Bluetooth technology.

Today, the new version of Titan security switches comes weeks after the launch of its closest competitor in the market Yubico - which also makes Titan protection keys for Google - new keys compatible with USB-C devices and Lightning.

Several companies, such as Coinbase, Dropbox, Facebook, Twitter, and Google, support the use of these security keys. Although the list of companies it supports is still limited, it is growing rapidly.

Google said: The new version of USB-C Security keys. It will be available from October 15 for 40$.
