Fortnite is back with Chapter 2 and a new map

Epic Games, the developer of the popular Fortnite game, has announced Chapter 2 of Fortnite Chapter II, a major new update with an entirely new map and a host of new features.
The announcement of Chapter 2 comes after a black hole ploy that drowned the island in a massive black hole that destroyed the entire game and rendered it unplayable, leaving players without warning, guarantee or confirmation of what would happen next.

The black hole that destroyed the original map was the culmination of the tenth season, dubbed “The End,” and the most dramatic change Epic Games has brought to the game so far.

The launch of the second quarter of the game - after a lapse of nearly two days - attracted the attention of millions of players worldwide, and came in an attempt to stop the transition to competitors Apex Legends and Call of Duty.

Fortnite subscribers reached 250 million registered players earlier this year, and Fortnite earned  2.4$ billion in 2018, more than any other game, according to Nielsen.

The new version of the game includes 13 new locations, including water sites where the characters can swim, catch and eat names, boating, as well as new hiding places and a host of new avatars and guns.

In addition to redesigning the world of new skins and weapons, the new update brings new collective features such as a gun that can heal colleagues, the ability to carry other players, collective emotions, the ability to hide in objects or make them explode, new weapons and upgrades.

Nearly 80,000 people watched the live game of Turner Tenney on Twitch less than two hours after its launch.

Fortnite and its rival PUBG have promoted the concept of survival within the battlefield, where 100 players are being dropped on an island to fight each other to death.

The tremendous successes of Fortnite and its PUBG rival prompted Electronic Arts to launch similar-looking Apex Legends earlier this year, so competition between games continues to increase.
