Austin Jones, a YouTube celebrity in the Internet with his videos and songs, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for ordering dozens of underage girls to send explicit sexual content to him. The sentence was expected to range from twenty-five years.
This 26-year-old man was arrested from Chicago, USA in 2017 under the charges. Jones admitted earlier this year that he had asked six underage teens to share these sex videos and told them he would prove to them that they were the best fans.
He also told them that through those recordings, he would help them become fashion models and gain followers of Instagram.
Defendants now admit that he used his popularity to convince his followers, through chats and social networks. In addition, they have been asked to take specific action on what they should do in their videos. In the complaint, you can read some specific indicators, such as saying your name, age, and dancing in front of your camera.

Sentenced by the Chicago Court. Katherine Neves Welch, federal prosecutor responsible for the case, said child pornography was a very serious crime. "Jones's actions have taken some of his victims and their families, and they will never recover from them."
At the height of his popularity on YouTube, Austin Jones had about 540,000 subscribers and more than 20 million viewers. YouTube removed its channel when the defendant pleaded guilty, alleging that it violated the rules of use of the site.
