Lenovo offers the world's first folding screen laptop

In the context of the innovations introduced this year, Lenovo has shown how it looks the world's first folding screen laptop.
We have already seen many models that choose this trend of folding phones, but Lenovo is surprised by a more interesting concept: the world's first folding laptop. This was announced at the event they are doing and they showed why this is a functional concept.
In the picture, this is how this laptop looks like a 2K 3-inch folding OLED screen, which is halved when folded:
The interesting thing about this proposal is that it is not called a tablet, but it offers all the features and performance of the laptop, but with the versatility offered by the folding screen.
For example, it can be used as a regular laptop with a touch keyboard, you can choose to use it as if it were a large full-screen tablet or folded as if we were reading news from a magazine.
If we also want, we can split the screen usage, using the upper part of the reading and the bottom for notes or drawing. Of course, you can use an external keyboard and allow the entire screen.
Lenovo follows the opposite line for mobile device manufacturers who want to give larger size to smartphones using collapsible screens, which in some cases risks the functionality of the device.
This proposal uses a folding technology to give users the ability to use the advantages of a regular laptop in a smaller size, with multiple uses thanks to the screen.
At the moment, this is just a preview of a prototype that Lenovo has been working on for years, so the device has not been exposed in detail or disclosed its technical specifications. It has only revealed its collaboration with Microsoft, Intel and LG in these years of development.
The device will join the ThinkPad X1 family and the company plans to launch in 2020.
