The BlackBerry Messenger app closes forever next month

The BlackBerry years ago were one of the most acclaimed devices by users, and that is that many users in 2008 had these phones in their hands, and their BlackBerry Messenger chat was also a desire of the company to be a leader in messaging. We've made it clear in the Hawoo Information Blog for some time that this messaging application was a very good option on the security level, although it is no longer among the best options, as the end of its era is announced: BlackBerry Messenger will be shut down forever next month.

According to the XDA, the application version will be officially closed on May 31, although the company's version will now be free for one year. Emtek, which has BBM rights, has confirmed that the messaging application is closed. So if you're an active user of the service, the company suggests you sign in and upload all the photos, videos, and any other file you do not want to lose.

Therefore, as of May 31, users will not be able to access their BlackBerry Messenger account. According to Emtek, one of the reasons for the closure of the service is due to fierce competition in the application industry and services, prompting the company to make the decision.

The 2018 report showed that BlackBerry Messenger users are more than 63 million users, only in Indonesia. A number was not enough for Emtek and did not prevent the closure of one of the most popular messaging applications.
