Today is an important day for Creative Commons,
as more than two years after launching its image search engine, the pilot phase has just left a series of improvements that users will be able to see today.
as more than two years after launching its image search engine, the pilot phase has just left a series of improvements that users will be able to see today.

Essentially, the CC Search search engine reaches more than 300 million indexed images, with a user-friendly UI interface for easy use, and internal improvements that allow faster searches with more relevant results.
With regard to more than 300 million indexed images, the organization states that it has images from 19 collections, including cultural works from several museums (Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Cleveland Museum of the Arts), visual arts from Behance and Deviant Art platforms, To Flickr photos and CC0 3D design from Thingiverse.

The organization adds that the enhanced search engine is now linked from the Creative Commons homepage, as the default way to search for works under Creative Commons licenses, to replace the old search portal, which was converted to oldsearch.creativecommons.org.
Creative Commons hopes to bring more images to its search engine, giving priority to major groups like those in Europeana and Wikimedia Commons. In addition, you also hope to provide other types of content under Creative Commons licenses, such as textbooks and audio recordings.
