Acer cancels its ConceptD OJO virtual reality headset

There is no doubt that the techniques of virtual reality and augmented reality are still at the beginning of the road and that there is a lot of work and development in this field, and at the time when many companies are investing in these two technologies, the well-known Acer company has decided to abandon its ambitious project.

And Acer had launched during the past years the first mixed reality helmet bearing the name OJO 500 and was expected to launch the second generation of these helmets ConceptD OJO, but it seems that the quality of OJO 500 did not receive the success that the company expected at the beginning, and the new news confirms that Acer has completely abandoned its ambition in this field by canceling the ConceptD OJO project.
It seems that the failure of the first version of OJO 500 alone led Acer to abandon ConceptD OJO, but also intense competition in this field by competitors, led by Oculus, led Acer in the end to make this decision and focus in its basic industries.
