Apple announced a range of updates to its various platforms, including iOS for smartphones and tablets, TVOS for Apple TV platforms, WatchOS for smart clocks, and MacOS for computers.
Updates are largely focused on Apple's announced video services on the March 25 event, bringing the refurbished Apple TV application to the devices on the platforms.
Apple TV and Apple TV, as well as the expansion of AirPlay 2 support to devices produced by Apple's partners, will be available for iPhones, iPads, compatible Apple TV platforms, and a selection of Samsung Smart TVs in more than 100 countries.
The update log for iOS 12.3 includes support for AirPlay 2 TVs, one-click playback of movies and TV shows, redesigned Apple TV, and error fixes.
It also fixes a range of security flaws, adds enhancements to the Apple Music application to offer more personalized recommendations, fixes the problem of not showing song information from the iPhone connected to the car screen through CarPlay, fixing the Apple TV Remote remote control application, Wireless.
As for TVOS 12.3, the most important feature is the new Apple TV application, which allows users to subscribe to specific Apple TV channels from within the app, and access to offers and movies bundled from various broadcast services, including Netflix, up to 4K HDR.
AirPlay 2 support is another big change, and users who have updated their devices to iOS 12.3 or MacOS 10.14.5 can use AirPlay 2 on compatible Samsung Smart TVs.
Apple says it will provide support for LG, Sony and VIZIO smart TVs later this year.
While WatchOS 5.2.1 updates users of the Apple Watch watch ECG feature, irregular heartbeat alerts to five additional European countries, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Iceland, Poland and Slovakia. The update also fixes the problem of no figures appearing on the face Explorer for some users.
MacOS Mojave 10.14.5 adds support for AirPlay 2 technology, which focuses heavily on bug fixes and performance improvements. Apple says that the update reduces the time required for voice transmission on MacBook Pro computers in 2018, fixes OmniOutliner and OmniPlan problems, Bluetooth when an unsecured connection exists.
